Weight Management
A medical route to weight loss for people whose body mass index and health history make them candidates for prescription treatment — not another diet plan.
Prescription only after a clinician review. No outcome is guaranteed. Product imagery is illustrative.

Weight management at Nexus Health is a clinical service. You complete a medical intake, a licensed clinician reviews your history, and only if it is clinically appropriate may they prescribe a GLP-1 or dual GIP/GLP-1 medication alongside ongoing follow-up.
Medication is one part of care. Your clinician also looks at your existing conditions, current prescriptions, sleep and how you will be monitored while on treatment. Nothing ships until a prescription has been written.

The process
How the process works
Medical intake
Health history, medications and the measurements the protocol needs.
Safety screening
Your medical history is checked for conditions and medication combinations that need attention.
Clinician decision
A licensed clinician in your state decides whether treatment is appropriate.
Treatment and follow-up
If prescribed, medication ships to your door, with scheduled check-ins.
What clinical evaluation involves
Your answers are screened against the protocol for the program you chose, so anything that would make a GLP-1 unsafe is caught before a clinician reads the file. The screen never approves anybody — it only flags. A licensed clinician makes the actual decision, and can decline.
Your intake records the protocol version it was screened against, so any decision can be reconstructed later.
Safety information
GLP-1 and GIP medications are prescription-only and are not appropriate for everyone. Pregnancy or breastfeeding, a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2, a history of pancreatitis and several other conditions are reasons a clinician will not prescribe. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, constipation and abdominal discomfort. Only a licensed clinician can decide whether treatment is right for you.
Questions
Weight Management questions
Can I start care online?
Yes. Start with a medical intake. A licensed clinician reviews your history, eligibility and state availability before deciding whether treatment is appropriate.
Is a prescription guaranteed?
No. A clinician reviews every intake and may decide treatment is not appropriate. When that happens you are told plainly, and where another program fits your answers better you are pointed to it.
How is my body mass index used?
Each program has a minimum body mass index in its protocol. Your height and weight are used to calculate yours, and the result is recorded on your intake so the decision can always be reconstructed.
How is my medication delivered?
Once a clinician writes a prescription, it is filled by a licensed pharmacy and shipped to the address you gave during intake.
Where do I find updates about my care?
Your patient portal brings together your clinical status, messages and follow-up check-ins. Return to it when your care team requests more information.
